Skylar loves being outside. He's been pointing at the door lately and asking "side"? Even when it's time to go to bed, he will say "side"? Of course I will say, it's time for night-night and then he immediately shakes his head and runs in the other direction. Boys!

Relay for Life Walk 05.15.09

We already planned to walk this event as a family (with Skylar in tow of course) in honor of all people that we know(work friends, family and dear friends) who are living with cancer and in memory of family and friends who had past.

Unfortunately, 2 Saturday's ago my friend Kelly's mom lost her batter with stage 4 pancreatic cancer. She lived 52 years and had a wonderful husband, daughter, son, granddaughter, many sisters and brothers who loved and cared for her until she crossed over into heaven.

We walked in memory of Rita Murtaugh. March 2, 1957 - May 11, 2009.

The band that played was playing a lot of good cover songs.

It was very emotional to see survivors walking as well.

Skylar was checking out the marching band and he loved the music!

Weekly updates and things...

So, I have been busy with work, traveling and well just being too tired to where I couldn't get on here and wish everyone a Happy Mother's Day (a week late) and to post in general! Forgive! :)

Here are some pics of what we've been doing, which was enjoying each others company, our family and friends as well.

Side note...

OMG does anyone watch LOST!!!!?? WHOAH is all I can say! I love Lost!!! BOOOO, that I have to wait until 2010 to watch it again.

Typical Skylar putting on chapstick, but boy does he need it. His lips are soo chapped!

He slept until 10:30 am that morning and then he took a 3 hour nap (above) that afternoon and then slept as normal at 8:30 pm. I mean the boy can sleep!! That was a different story the first 8 months of his life. Those were some tough tough tough months!!

He absoutely loves Ralphie!

The only snap shot from the wine festival that I got before it started to pour down raining. I thought the sign was cute! I'm going to the May 30th NC wine festival at Tanglewood too. Hopefully, the weather will hold up for that one.

He's my little monkey, always climbing everything, but he has yet tried to climb out of the crib. So needless to say, we are very happy about that. :) I think he would wake up in the middle of the night, if he was sleeping in a toddler bed and would start playing at 3 AM. I know him!! :)

Praying for Kayleigh's family

I don't know if anyone clicked on the link for Praying for Kayleigh, but this poor little girl lost her battle this week. My heart breaks for this family as they have been through a lot. I feel so fortunate to have a healthy toddler. He may cause messes and create chaos for us at times, but he's healthy and he's super duper sweet too. Hold on to your little ones with all your might and say a little prayer for this family. They're going to need it.

It has been some yucky weather here, so we're stuck indoors, but that's alright, we love to play!!! After every basket he makes, he says, "all-riiight!" It's too cute.

Skylar loves Yasmine! She is so good with him. He just wants her to pick him up all the time and just play. He constantly sat in her lap. He just loves her! It's really sweet! I'm happy they get a long so well!

We have been together for 10+ years...and like all couples, we had our ups and downs (only mainly because of the War and Terry being deployed away). We have and still do share laughs and tears and with our love and strength, it has gotten us where we are today. Over the years our appearances might have changed, but our hearts remained the same for each other. (Corny, I know...) Here a few pics from the past couple of years. I will have to dig out the wedding pics and the college pics too! I have some good ones.
