Daycare pictures...

A couple of weeks ago, we had spring pictures made at Skylar's daycare. The funny thing is, that I dressed him like his dad dresses. A button down with a sweater vest over it. :) I wished I had a picture of Terry in his vest for comparison.

Side note, he looks like a farmer doesn't he? :) With hippy hair. He's had his hair cut since then.

Surprise visit from grand-ma and paw-paw

I was sitting in the garage playing with Skylar while Terry was watching UNC play (GO HEELS) and boy was I surprised to see that Jewell (grand-ma) and Olen (paw-paw) had pulled into the driveway! :) They said they missed Skylar and had to come see us and they came all the way from out west (AKA Marion - our little joke) and they didn't tell us either! WHOAH...I guess that's saying something about Terry, Skylar and I. We never leave the house, ahha! They brought Skylar fun gifts too! We love that they visited us. We miss them so much!
Skylar thought it was funny to try and run over his Grand-Ma.
Showing her how it's done with his new golf set. Tiger-Tiger Woods Yaw!
We have to make time to mow the yard and make bubbles. What a smart concept!
BUBBLES!!! We love bubbles Paw Paw!!

Two little monkeys...

We had so much fun with Zeb's visit. We went to the Children's Museum today, yet again (aye yai yai), but as long as the kids had fun, then that's all that mattered to us. :) After all that fun, we came home and watched CARS.... :)...for the billionth time. Boys!!

Eating our breakfast like big boys.

Cheese!!
"Me too mom, Cheese!! "

Um...can you see that close?

Ashes ashes...we all fall down

Here's the cutest video. We were so lucky to have my nephew Zeb stay with us last night. We were eating pancakes for breakfast, singing and of course laughing this morning. They will make you laugh too!

Working and playing...

We had a wonderful Spring Sunday, just lounging and hanging around the house. We planted trees, some flowers and potted some plants. Also, Terry mowed our yard which was very much needed! :) Skylar talked a lot this weekend too. I love hearing the things that come out of his mouth.

  1. He says, I love you, but pronounces it "I lah yee."

  2. He says, Happy Birthday, but pronounces it, "Appy Barfay."

  3. He said his name over the weekend.....I think he says it at daycare, but he won't say it at home, ah, so we were excited to hear it.

  4. I'm trying to teach him names of our family and friends. He's doing pretty well saying them. Of our friends, he said, Emma, Crawford (cawfud) and Taylor (Tayla-his BFF in his daycare class) so far.

  5. He points to things and says what they are, like foot, light, pee pee (LOL). He points to everything though.

Terry decided to hit some golf balls in the back yard afterwards and Skylar decided he wanted to too. We are buying him his very own golf set this week. Well, the toy kind, ahha! He was a little dangerous with this club iron. Watch out cars!! Or mommy's car that is.

Jump Jump....everybody Jump...

Well, that's putting it mildly. We had a great Saturday! Skylar was invited to Kyleigh's 3rd birthday party at Bounce U. Can you say....omg FUN and HOT!! I will say this, if you do plan to go there, make sure you are wearing something that you don't care to sweat in. (note to self for next time) I went down the slides and jumped everywhere with Skylar. He was having so much fun! We will definitely have one of Skylar's birthday parties there. So worth the fun!! My camera of course went dead right when we got there. WHAT!! UGH! It would turn on every once in a while, so I got about 5 pictures at least! The age range was 1 year to 4 years and all you could hear was squeals from kids and their parents. There was a lot of interaction, so it was fun for everyone involved!

Skylar was climbing the wall and then sliding down the other side.

My friend Angela's daughter Makinley was having a great time going down the slide. She's 2 years old and was so much fun to watch.

This was the big slide that the kids went down with the parents. I could have stayed on this thing all day, but boy, was I hot! Not in a good way....I had sweat pouring everywhere. Let just say I didn't raise my hands...(I wasn't sure hee hee)

After that, Terry went back to Greensboro with Skylar and I went to another party. What Party you ask?

Twilight party anyone? :)

Since Twilight came out on DVD SAturday, we made plans to watch this at my friend's husband's company, Audio/Video 1. It was awesome! I'm actually very glad Terry didn't come, he would have been in heaven seeing all the cool technology that was there. I was definitely impressed, but we don't NEED a home theater in our house, aha! I mean, want yes, need, ....well, there are a few things we might need over that. Don't ask Terry thoug, as he may say different.

Making use of the rain indoors...

Time for Fun!!

We actually had a great weekend! We played at the Children's Museum on Saturday and met up with several friends! Although, it was supposed to be a playdate, it was more of a , "See ya!!" Skylar decided he would rather do his own thing and we ran after him the entire time, haha!

Time to go shopping

Let's make lemonaid

--Oh Skylar does the cutest thing now. He shakes your hand. So next time you see Skylar, hold you hand out to shake his hand and he will do it willingly and look you in the eyes, because he means business! :)

When we got home from the Museum, Terry and I decided to paint the wet bar/loft area in our house. There are still several areas in our house that needs to be painted, so we just took advantage of the time we were stuck indoors and painted away. I think we started something now, because we're going to want to paint everything now! Of course we both couldn't paint at the same time, because that means Ralph would be the babysitter. Probably not the best idea. :) Here's the pics.

Pre-paint and very Messy (also we never party at, because we have Skylar) bar area! :) Notice the empty picture frames, we have these all over the house....

Almost done

Done. :)

I can see clearly now the rain is gone...

You know the expression, blind as a

Well, with the kind support of my husband, saying..."You can't see, you're blind" or "Please let me drive, you'll kill us." I decided to get my peepers checked. Apparently...I have a vision problem. I noticed that my eyesight started to go bad, seriously 7 years ago, LOL...BUT...I always thought that I didn't need them. Plus, I was scared to death of what I would look like. For example...

Not to be confused with this below though...yum!

So, I decided I was being silly or vain.

Lazy days at the park

Ok, we now have a favorite place to play. Actually, I have no idea if we are even allowed to play there, but they have like 10 playgrounds for all age groups and we played on most of them. :) We are coming here more often, that's for sure. I will need to take pictures the next time we go back of all the playgrounds there. It's fantastic for Skylar to let loose in!

Look how long his legs are...he's so tall!! And on a side note-look at his bruises, cuts and scrapes! What a typical boy!
("Dad, you are so funny!")
(Loving his hair right here! )

Working hard in the garage...

(Work?...Really)
While some were enjoying the outside weather this past weekend, we put our Sky-dogg to work. He needs to learn at an early age, that nothing in life is easy and that he needs to earn his keep. LOL, Kidding...or am I? See for yourself.

(Random shot of mommy's working shoes this weekend)

(Got to go mow the lawn now. )

Welcome to the world Logan Swider...it's a girl!

(Logan Maureen Swider)

My friend Jamie, who really held out on learning the sex of her baby, was surprised with the birth of her baby girl on Tuesday, March 3rd. Logan arrived 2 weeks early too. She weighed in at 6 pounds/ 6 ounces and is 20 inches long. She's absolutely gorgeous! Congrats Jamie and Kevin! Also, a sorry to *Lucy, *Briscoe and *Izzy for this new addition, as I know you guys get peeved that they keep adding on to your family. :) ***(Cat, Big Dog and Small Dog)
