Day 1 at SeaWorld

I used to want to be a marine biologist when I was a kid, so I could work with the dolphins and whales at SeaWorld.  It’s funny that I remember that, considering that I never seen these animals up-close or have ever been to SeaWorld.  Needless to say, I was not disappointed.  I didn’t realize that SeaWorld was more than just live shows for the creatures of the sea.  There’s a whole theme park of fun there too.  Huh, who knew?  Oh yeah….probably everybody that’s been there before.  If you haven’t gone, it’s wonderful!  Skylar was so excited to see the sharks and whales.  We went with our friends that just moved down to FL recently.  We also stayed with them while we were down there.  :)

This is our family picture before we sweated out booties off!  It was about 105 to 110 everyday.  Also, on the right picture, you can see the word Jesus in the Sky.  There was a plane writing all things in the sky, it was awesome!

They had a dolphin nursery there with nursing moms with their babies and pregnant moms.  It was so sweet.

Skylar did not like this ride, aha!  Poor guy did not like the way it went up and down so fast.  He didn’t cry, but he didn’t smile either.  :(

I love how Terry is the only “adult” on the ride.

Skylar loved these rides. I think Matt and Terry did too.  ;)

kids (1 of 1)

Katie took this picture.  Terry, Matt and I were riding a roller coaster that Katie didn’t want to ride, so she watched the kids.  I was worried about that, because Skylar is not as calm and easy going as Emma and well Jack can’t walk yet, so Skylar is the one you really need to watch.  Apparently Skylar and Emma pulled a fast one on Katie and she ended up buying them all whales, ahah and they were eating snacks and laughing. Good thinking Katie.

Our magical trip.

I still have to unpack, get materials ready for a wonderful 3 year old’s birthday cake (Crawford’s) for next weekend and still download all the pictures from the past few weeks.  It might be a little bit before I can blog, but I couldn’t resist this one with Skylar watching the parade at Magic Kingdom on his daddy’s shoulders.

We love Disney!

Family fun

This past weekend my sister Gina came into town from Egypt.  She was going to be in the states for a little over a week,  and she was only going to be in NC for the weekend, so we spent all day Saturday together.  It was so nice to hang out with the family!!  It was a fun filled family day.

gina and skylar (1 of 1)

Gina stayed with us the whole weekend and while we were heading to John and Holly’s, I turned around and saw Skylar covering his ears, lol.  I guess Gina’s singing abilities from the “Glee” soundtrack was not a big hit for him.

Not sure why some are making sweet faces and then others are not, lol!

Skylar loves cats and tries to pet them.  I was surprised this cat let him do that.  Most cats (the smart ones) usually run when “Terrorizer Skylar” comes around.

Zeb is a super athletic little guy.  He may be little, but I bet he could beat everyone in sports or in a fight.  He's tough!

All the cousins on the Mathis side.  Of course, this is the best out of so many pictures where they are sort of looking at the camera.

Skylar and Zeb both love playing with the water.

Ok, so I may be slightly obsessed with taking pictures of Piper.  She’s so still for the camera.  So, it’s very different of when I would take pictures of Skylar.  Isn’t she gorgeous!!  Her eyes are unreal!  I mean, they look it, but they aren’t.

Babysitting Miss Lo

We had so much fun babysitting Logan earlier this month.  Ok, this post is a little late, lol.  Jamie and Kevin were going to be out of town, so they needed some help and we were happy to babysit!!  She loved all of Skylar’s toys.  Skylar really loves her too. He treats her as his little sister.  We had so much fun!  It was July 4th weekend and downtown Greensboro was having a 4th festival.  They closed down the streets and had local bands play, while there was vendors everywhere, selling all kinds of things.  Logan though, fell asleep and missed most of it, but she did liven up once we got home.

Skylar and Lo were watching this young band of 11-14 year olds playing at the festival.  The band was awesome! They were playing songs like Baracuda.  I mean, they were fantastic!

The little girl was awesome singing.  They should have tried out for America’s got talent!

After that, we lost Logan!  I guess the music put her right to sleep.  She was out for 2 hours.  haha!

Then she finally woke up, but missed out on the ice cream we had.

But she made it in time for the funnel cake.  Which happened to be the first time she ever had that, oops…sorry Jamie!  She loved it.

Once we got back and finished dinner, she played with all the toys.

Skylar was sweet and would push her in the wagon, but then…..he would let go to see how far she would go, lol….um.
