Today was a super busy day. I made a cake for one of Terry’s co-workers son for his 7th birthday. He had an army theme party. So, I was asked to make a camouflaged cake. I was SUPER worried that I couldn’t pull it off. :) The cake is fudge marble with green coloring for parts of the batter, so when they cut into the cake, it’s also camo. The frosting is vanilla and chocolate butter cream. I made the road out of graham crackers, but had a hard time writing Happy Birthday in frosting over it, so I added fondant to improvise and wrote on the fondant with a edible food marker. The only things not edible are the toys that the mom provided. This was a pretty neat cake to make.
What the cupcakes and the cake looked like before they were frosted.
I hope they were happy with the cake. I thought it was cute.
After that, Skylar got him a much needed hair cut.
He cracks me up when I take his pictures… He’s either making a mean face, a sweet face….or I just burn down the house face.
That’s my sweet one.
